Conducting and observing

  Steps of peer-feedback on teaching
  1. Preliminary meeting in a tandem
  2. Conducting and observing of the course
  3. Short feedback
  4. Video analysis and detailed feedback
  5. Individual resume

  Guidance for the implementation
  • Consciously choose a teaching /consulting situation on which you would like to have constructive feedback on profit from the most
  • Any situation in the context of teaching is suitable; a lecture, seminar, excursion, supervision in the laboratory or a consultation with students.
  • Be authentic in the teaching situation, peer-feedback on teaching does not imply assessment or control.

Guidance for observing

  • Your observations and perceptions  are an essential basis for the further phases of the peer-feedback on teaching.
  • Take the opportunity to take notes, even if you are sure you will remember at a later time (with time memory fades).
  • Focus your (main) attention on didactic aspects of the teaching-learning situation, even if the content of the teaching session is interesting.
